Splendid Feast was founded in 1986 and was an immediate success with corporate clients such as Sclumberger, NeXT, and Mayfield Fund. In 1990, Splendid Feast launched its retail food division, Via Ventresca, after being reviewed as a favorite at KQED’sFancy Food Show in San Francisco. Its gourmet entrees were introduced to local retail stores, Costco in Northern California, Ralph’s in Southern California, and Gelsen’s in Texas. Splendid Feast Catering was selected for Bay Area events with Peter Jennings of ABC News, violin virtioso, Itzhak Perlman and meetings with the World Bank.
Patrice Ventresca, a passionate chef and native to the San Francisco Bay Area, lives high in the Santa Cruz mountains above Los Gatos, California. The views of Monterey Bay are the inspiration for her delightful, sensual creations. When not cooking professionally for others, Patrice’s dinner parties are treasured, long-remembered events for friends and family.
